I leave Lifnai Vlfinim seminars reinvigorated and reconnected to my mission as a teacher. I’m amazed by how much I learned from the depth and authenticity of peers who joined me and the ability of a few powerful questions to facilitate a real sense of connection and community.
I used to just talk to HaShem only when I needed something but now I find myself saying “HaShem, I am davening now because I want to talk to You”. This class taught me to look for Him and want Him in my life more.
I used to think that I didn’t like Torah classes because they always make me feel dumb but now I think that I actually like talking about HaShem if it feels like it is real.
I learned I really want to be more spiritual.
I learned that I can open up and there really are people who want to help me.
I learned how important it is to me to strengthen my connection to Hashem.
I think it has really changed our school for the better because everyone is more empathetic and sensitive.
Through implementing this program with staff, I had the opportunity to learn more Torah with my staff, and have them learn more together. In many ways that was something which we all gained from that’s beyond the program itself.
It helps us learn to look at problems from different angles and perspectives just as we learned from the people who participated. It helps us build deeper relationships with others and become more selfless. We also loved how while we learn that we can learn a bit of Torah with it.
