21 Every man whose heart uplifted him came, and everyone whose spirit inspired him to generosity brought the offering of the Lord for the work of the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

  1. How does the Torah described the people that contributed to the משכן?
  2. What do you think these descriptions mean? What led these people to give?
  3. What drives you to give to others? To make a contribution to our school? Your community?
  4. What holds you back?
  5. If you could contribute one unique talent or trait of your own to building our משכן, our holy school community, what would you contribute?

Advanced - can add in

  1. (And/Or) If you could  “raise the heart” of another person in our class, inspiring them to contribute a unique talent or trait they have to building our school community, what would you ask them to contribute? Turn to someone else in our class and ask them to make the “contribution”.
  2. (For example: Mushka, please consider making a gift and bringing your positive attitude to building thee Mishkan of Maayanot. [If you want to push further you can have them add: This would be so helpful because… or We really need you because…]

  1. When have you contributed something or helped others because it felt easy and enjoyable to do so
  2. When have you contributed something or helped others in a way that felt like it was “beyond your abilities”? When have you convinced yourself that you are “wealthier” than you really are?
